Daisy and Oliver's colourful October wedding at Wedderburn Barns, Duns

Daisy and Oliver met purely by chance on a very crowded East Coast train heading north, when they found themselves sitting opposite each other. When Daisy realised she couldn't find her ticket she jumped off, only to decide it was worth a gamble and went back to her seat. And thank goodness she did! The journey began and because of a two hour delay, there was plenty of time to chat with the stranger opposite.

By the time Oliver left the train hours later, they'd discovered that not only did they have a lot in common, but they also lived near to each other in London. A few text messages later, a first date was arranged and they spent a sunny June evening sharing a bottle of wine in Green Park.

Getting to know each other came next as they enjoyed all that London has to offer. And they spent some wonderful holidays abroad together in India, Marrakesh and Copenhagen. It was all going perfectly and eventually thoughts turned to marriage. Even Daisy being ill with cold wasn't going to thwart Oliver's proposal plans.

Daisy and Oliver chose to have their wedding at the stunning Wedderburn Barns in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders. It was an October day that surprised everyone, as the sun beat down on us all. The gorgeous weather couldn't have been more fitting for a wedding that was full of such colour. And what a ceremony it was!

Daisy and Oliver both wrote and read their own vows to each other.

The ring bearers were their super cute nephews!

They drank Whisky mixed with Drambuie from a wooden Quaich.

And we all sang the fabulous soul classic 'Your love keeps lifting me - Higher and Higher' to end the ceremony.

These wonderful photos by the uber talented Caro Weiss, really capture what a colourful, fun and joyful ceremony it was.

As Daisy and Oliver wrote to me afterwards, "Thank you for playing such an important part in our wedding and helping to create such a perfect ceremony. For us and lots of our guests the ceremony was the star of the day with so many beautiful moments to remember."

Thank you Daisy and Oliver - I won't forget your brilliant wedding either, it was a complete joy!
