Humanist Weddings

When you choose a humanist wedding you are choosing to have a non-religious ceremony that is personal and unique to you both, as well as being memorable and meaningful. A humanist wedding is entirely legal in Scotland.

I really believe that it’s important that you are involved in shaping and crafting your ceremony so that it is very 'you.' I'll give you ideas of how we can share your unique story in a creative way and include elements in your ceremony that resonate with you.

What makes a humanist ceremony extra special is that it illustrates why you love each other and what marriage really means to you both. The promises you make won't be arbitrary ones but based upon what is important to you.

I conduct ceremonies mostly in Edinburgh and Lothians, Scottish Borders and Fife but I do sometimes travel further afield. As well as legal weddings, I also conduct civil partnerships and non legal commitment ceremonies.

WHAT DO COUPLES SAY?

"Candice carried out our Wedding ceremony last Saturday. She was absolutely fabulous and set the tone for the rest of the day. So relaxed and informal yet a deeply personal service. We can't thank her enough!"

"The ceremony was the highlight of the wedding for both of us, and several of our guests raved about it, saying it was the most personal and lovely wedding ceremony they had ever been to. We are so pleased that we found Candice and had a humanist wedding - we would recommend her highly to anybody considering it!"

"Candice conducted our ceremony on Saturday and it was amazing. It was so personal and funny and emotional, not a dry eye in the house. Can't recommend Candice enough!"
