Dorota and Glyn's Wedding at Norton house Hotel, Edinburgh

Dorota and Glyn first set eyes on each other one warm spring day when she boarded the No. 30 Lothian bus that Glyn was driving. It was love at first sight, for Glyn at least... and when Dorota got on his bus again the following day, he decided he was somehow going to get to know her.

Over the next 4 months Glyn changed his shifts wherever possible so he could drive the no. 30 in the hopes of seeing Dorota again. His patience and determination paid off and eventually after a few missed opportunities, they got to talking and Dorota gave Glyn her number!

Success? Not quite because Glyn couldn't figure out whether the 1's were 7's or the 7's were 2's! There were a LOT of potential combinations. So, he set about texting every possible variation, in the hopes he would hit the right one. Eventually, much to his relief, he got the reply he was hoping for.

As time went by, they discovered a mutual love of Game of Thrones, Formula 1 and computer games and as they share the same sense of humour, they laughed together all the time. When Glyn decided to propose he wanted it to be as special as possible and set about plotting....

He organised a spa day followed by afternoon tea with friends and family at the lovely Norton House Hotel. A treat in itself, but unbeknown to Dorota, just the start of what was to be a very memorable day. Afterwards they headed into town, where Glyn got his friends to take Dorota to the pub, whilst he went to pick up something from work...

What Glyn picked up was a vintage single decker bus, which he drove to the stop where Dorota had first boarded his bus. His allies had done a great job of getting an oblivious Dorota to the stop, in time for Glyn to pull in, open the doors and go down on one knee. And where else would they choose to get married but the Norton House Hotel, 3 years later on that same date!

Their intimate ceremony was full of emotion - lots of laughter and lots of tears too!

They made it their own in so many ways. Dorota walked in with her mum....

They involved their guests in a band warming, allowing them to pass on their love and good wishes as they warmed the wedding rings....

They were hand-fasted with ribbons made from Glyn's tartan and Dorota's dress...

Their cake topper, was the best I've seen yet!

Even their cats were there!

Lukas from Catching the Moments Photography did a wonderful job in capturing all of the joy, laughter and tears of the day, as is evident in these photo's.

I was very touched to hear from Dorota and Glyn after their wedding who said:

"We would like to express our appreciation, once again and thank you so much for making our Ceremony personal and memorable. All of our Friends and Family were so impressed and enjoyed the ceremony greatly"

The pleasure was all mine!
